hey! grim! have you ever gotten a present by a stranger? and it's something u love it or dying to have it? haha it's Grant a wish by NUS CSC =)...yup! went to help ard with 2 parties and it's fun =)! Lots of funny things happened like kids calling me uncle (should not have told them my age during the icebreak!) !!...kids kicking me from behind...punching knuckles with someone who's dying to go army to train up and defeat me...haha! Overall, i think both parties went on pretty well, with extreme reactions when the kids got to see their presents.
i had a grp with me last week and there's this boy who left me a deep impression. He's the most obedient kid in the grp during the games and we chatted pretty normally, but there's this outburst of emotion @ the moment he saw his own gift. It's the first time i saw a kid cried so bitterly when tearing off the wrapper of his own gift. Okie, close ur eyes now and imagine....crying over a gift....that's pretty sad right? Why? becos he's disappointed for not getting his wish! as he preferred a nike sch bag rather than a nike pouch...
@ that moment of time, i felt like hugging him and tell him that i can still buy him a nike sch bag if he don't mind, but i struggled mentally thinking if such an action might be spoiling him or even ruin the objective of Grant a wish...it's just painful to see a kid crying in front of u....i had watched hundreds of movies showing how a kid cry infront of parents....but that feeling is just different...
I told him a story abt the man who complaint how tough his life is until he met a beggar with no legs, abt being thankful of what we got and continue to strive hard for things that we want on our own, we cant just simply write every wishes down on a note and expect them to come true... HAHA i told him something lame abt me wanting a car so badly but no body ever bother to grant my wish! haha Damn! he nv luff lor! =( haha....i was expecting him to say that, dont worry kor, i will buy for u nxt time if u buy me the nike bag now! LOL....i can wait...i dun mind! LOL....i am not sure if he understand me but i hope he's alot stronger now and starts to appreciate his nike pouch =)! kids nowadays are really lucky! when i was his age, i think i am having a ninja turtle sch bag! where got nike! =x
On the contrary, the party held last friday was abit different, every kid cheered for their gifts even though it's like a mini sch bus, a box of colour pencils and even drawing paper. This clearly points out that it's not the gift that matters, it's the mentality and concept abt how positive and how appreciative it is on ur own life.
I was peeping at one corner! on a little boy! hEEE...i am not sure if his name is tom! haha peeping tom! but....i was watching him tearing off his prezie and the delighted look on his face that it's a control car he got....Laura told me that he went ard showing off to ppl the car he got...i was happy that he love it but i felt like going towards him and tell him to be humble! haha but i just stood near the pillar and peep =x....u know why?? it's becos i am the one who bought the car! =)
Saw the kid who got his guitar too, and i'm sure he will be a talented guitar player someday becos it took us a day to scout for the best guitar for a kid! Worth it right! mr jin! haha =)
All the best kids! =) Hopefully such touching moments can inspire a few or even many of them to make a difference in lives of others when they grow up and look back @ their childhood! ! Keep trying and make everyone lives a little better each day =)

hey grim!! ooo the last entry was exactly one month ago! haha! so lazy and busy throughout the month of sept that i don't really feel like sitting down and type any entry.
First of all! Happy birthday to me!! this entry suppose to be on sept 11th haha but i actually forgotten to blog about it! =X...Well, i must say, birthday normally is oso known as a thank you day! why? becos of all the well wishes and happy bday msges! haha normally i will have this habit of keeping all the msges for one year in my cell and del. the last year bday wishes...haha thanks everyone for ur sms, testi, cards, wall-to-wall msges =)! Sadly, my bday, i need to head to sch and there's Annual General Meeting at night! -_- ! gosh! i think that's the most time wasting meeting i ever had in my life and it's on my bday =(! haha...nvm! quite memorable actually to have so many ppl singing bday song to me...quite scary too....face* red....=) Thanks alot once again! =)
Moving on, went to equinox for Sock Hoon's Bday party! it's one of the most grand party held i must say! good food! nice view! and wow! touching efforts from kahoon to sock hoon~ must be the power of love =)! it's nice to see couple so loving! =) and i shall let some of the pics do the talking....
Next, i'm gonna KEYBOARD down some of the nice quotes from Prof. Randy after i read his book before returning the book back to jin...

Okie i will elaborate abit on this! Basically, everyone is looking for shortcuts in life to achieve great things but however, the shortest route to success is actually the long way! 2 words! Work Hard! When u feel that ur time is not enough? Prolly gonna work on the time management and! work hard even on friday nites to solve the problem =)

It's a great book! these are some of the key chapters of the book and it actually reminds me of the things that i knew but as time goes by, i actually forgotten most of it or i am too bz to even think and reflect abt it! i had a set of core values that i adhere to all the time. This book showed me how positive a man can get despite his illness and kind of reinforce my core values a little! i should not be here giving book reviews on this book! just go read it alright if u all have the time? =)!
Fast Forward....last saturday! omg! so crazy that i had 10 hours of KTV in a single day! i had a ktv session from 2pm to 7pm...then i traveled to IMM to meet Xian Xi and some F9 buddies! =) Happy 23th birthday Xian Xi =)! haha sing again from 10pm to 3am!! Heart Ache when i pay for the ktv but!! it's alright! What are brothers for man? =)
